Each course is anchored in a real-world business scenario that runs across all six weeks. Your new skills get applied to the same ongoing brief, building both genuine data capability and a portfolio of work. In the final course, you’ll work on a live brief set by an industry Employer Partner, analysing datasets, developing recommendations and presenting your findings back to the organisation.
Your Course 2 client scenario is built on publicly available data from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare: you'll investigate whether Australia's emergency departments are resourced to meet demand, wrangle datasets and defend your recommendations. Along the way, you'll cluster Australian Institute of Sport athlete data, run sentiment analysis on live YouTube comments and pull live weather data through real APIs. When an interviewer asks what you've worked on, you'll have answers that sound like a job, not a course.
AI is already inside every tool analysts use. This program teaches the three skills that make you valuable because of it, not replaceable by it.
Learn context engineering, feeding AI the schemas, business rules and constraints it needs to produce reliable output. Then, build with AI APIs using structured outputs, from Excel Copilot to the Gemini API.
Build your own ground-truth evaluation sets and measure AI's accuracy with precision, recall and F1 before you trust it. Document the provenance of every AI-assisted output so your work is reproducible and auditable.
Direct an agentic AI workflow that runs an analysis loop autonomously, while you define the task, intervene when it errs and verify the result. The analyst as decision-maker and quality controller: that's where the role is going.
Through live weekly sessions, expert-led masterclasses and peer learning, you'll build the technical skills and analytical judgement to work with data the way modern organisations need.

Milestone 1 · Week 6
Your first client dashboard. An interactive Power BI dashboard built against a client brief, data model, drill-through, accessibility-checked, presented with your recommendations.
Milestone 2 · Month 3
A full Python analysis of real Australian health data. Your investigation of emergency department demand using real AIHW data: a reproducible Jupyter notebook under version control, a technical report and a recorded stakeholder presentation.
Milestone 3 · Month 5
A predictive modelling portfolio, and an analysis that runs itself. Regression, classification, clustering and sentiment models applied to business questions, plus an automated reporting workflow scheduled with GitHub Actions.
Milestone 4 · Month 6
Client work, defended live. Your team's recommendations delivered delivered live to a real Employer Partner – a genuine consulting engagement in your portfolio before you graduate.
By the time you complete the program, you'll have worked across a full stack of industry-standard tools, from data visualisation and SQL querying through to machine learning, automated workflows and AI-assisted analysis.
Excel, Power BI and PostgreSQL form the foundation of the program. You'll clean and analyse data, build interactive dashboards and query databases, and learn to work with the AI features built into these tools critically, not just at face value.
From data manipulation with Pandas to machine learning with scikit-learn, you'll build the Python proficiency to tackle complex analytical problems. Add Git, GitHub Actions and AI APIs, and you'll leave with the technical depth that separates a capable analyst from a competitive one.
Tools and models are only as good as the person using them. You'll learn to frame business problems clearly, interpret analytical outputs critically and communicate findings to the stakeholders who need to act on them.
